Is there any web site that offers free legal advice?

i need free legal advice i live in bakersfield california county of kern and i'm in a real bind. i need some advice on a criminal case. any help would be appreciated. also i would like to know if all court proceedings are audio recorded or recorded by a court reporter? i want the actual word for word of what happened and who said what not just what the court says happened. Is there any web site that offers free legal advice?
A court reporter does a complete transcript of the proceedings and you can request a copy of the transcripts unless the file is sealed, or it is a juvenile case. You can contact the court and they should be able to tell you how to obtain the transcripts. Unfortunately, there really isn't anywhere to get free legal advice on criminal cases. Is there any web site that offers free legal advice?
This site would probally be your best bet. There are alot of lawyers on here. Tell me what happened and i'll try to help. If its private you could email me: paparoachrocker13@yahoo.com. The other thing you could do is call legal aid at Toll Free: (800) 693-5209. Or try these two sites i found:

http://www.centralcallegal.org/

Good luck. Contact me back!
It is hard to answer where advice can be found without knowing the question.

On the issue of transcripts, assuming this is an adult matter, in California all felony cases have court reporters for almost all hearings, but in misdemeanor or infraction cases there may, or may not, be an official record made. If there was an official record made, you can get a copy of it from the reporter (the court records will show who that was) but you will have to pay for it.
Here is one. For the rest you can purchase in your local court the transcripts to your case.

Good Luck....
