Also, as someone who has been a bartender in the past, I've found it never hurts to practice technique at home since you will make more money if you can work at a faster pace. You will also want to invest in a very good bottle opener.

Wear comfortable shoes!!! I worked as a VIP hostess at a nightclub and every night my feet were killing me within one hour on the job. Of course we were required to wear at least 3 inch heals (job perk). If it can't be helped band aids, lots and lots of band aids.





Always smile! And above all never sleep or hook up with customers or you fellow employees. I can't even begin to tell you how many of my work companions got kicked out for that.





Have fun!!! Working nightclubs is loads of fun but plenty of hard work. (The drinks you'll learn quick...sink or swim)
u have to go to school to become a bartender.
you should at least look into names of top shelf and botto shelf booze. look @ the kinds of Schnapps the club stocks- Mixers- do you serve frozen drinks? Do you have drink specials? If I dont know a drink that someone orders I just say ';%26amp; how do you like that? How is it prepaired?'; You will be a walking drinktionary is a month! Relax. Alchol is good times for most folks %26amp; they dont mind if you dont know how to make something. Just get a look --some working knowledge of those top shelf choices, so you have a clue. It will save you time %26amp; get your tips quicker. Most of all never let your customer see the bodom of the glass. Keep the drinks comming unless they tell you different. I dont care if its coffee or pop-- Keep it full. No one in a club wants to wait for a drink. Get a great pair of shoes-- if you look like a dork-- but are comfee in the feet youll feel better. I know you will do fine! Dont focus on what you dont know. It will all come together like a--B--%26amp;c. Good luck and make those tips!!PS:: dont quit. you cant judge if you like a job until you have been there at least 4 weeks. all nw jobs suck. Stick with it. I have made a good living working in the club:)

okay, u dont have to go to bartending school, i think ur best bet would to bartend in a restaurant for a while , to get the swing of things and to learn basic drinks and techniques and terminology and such. clubs youll be movin non-stop ,and theres not even time to think, u just try to crank out the drinks as fast as possible. so some prior experience would be ideal.
